Universiti Tun Abdul Razak was
established on 18th December 1997, as one of the first private
universities in Malaysia. Named after Malaysia's second Prime
Minister, the late YAB. Tun Abdul Razak, the university welcomed its
first batch of 162 students in September 1998. On 21st December
1998, the university was officially launched by Tun Abdul Razak's
eldest son, the then Minister of Education YB. Dato' Seri Najib Tun
Abdul Razak. Kolej TAJ has been tighting up with UNITAR since 1998

Universiti Sains Malaysia was
founded after an agreement made on a resolution approved by the
Penang State Legislative Council in 1962, which suggested that a
university college be established in the state. An area in Sungai
Ara was identified and later the foundation stone was placed by the
then Prime Minister, Y.T.M Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj on the

The Harun M. Hashim Law Centre
(formerly known as The Law Centre) was established in July 1997 and
started its operation in 1998 to run and conduct Continuing Legal
Education (CLE) programmes of the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws,
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The establishment
of the Centre is not only desirable but also essential in the light
of changing events in the teaching and practice of law. There has
been significant development in certain specialized fields of legal
activity, such as Intellectual Property, International Trade, Marine
Insurance, Shipping, New Financial Instruments, Islamic Financial,
